Morgan M restaurant

Morgan M is a form of expression putting in practice everything we have learnt over the years and all the positive feedback we have received.

It is my long term desire to communicate a vision about a way of eating, going way beyond food, starting from the moment a customer comes into the restaurant to the moment he or she leaves. It is difficult to touch people through food, but it is what we aim for every day, provoking some kind of emotion so when leaving the restaurant people take with them a part of the event remembering a particular element that they enjoyed.

We describe our work as a ‘modern approach to cooking rooted in classical French cuisine.’ People have a natural tendency to eat specific foods at certain times of the year, therefore we try to reflect these preferences in the food we prepare. This leads to ingredients being used following each year’s unique seasonal changes, thus seasons are reflected in the colour and tastes of our dishes.

It is a part of this wisdom that I wish that my customers and employees will take away with them when leaving our establishment.morgan m

Grand Opening of New Barbican Restaurant

A chinese dragonBuilding on the success of his award-winning restaurant in Islington, Morgan Meunier is opening on Long Lane by the Barbican. The new two storey restaurant offers his signature ‘affordable haute cuisine’ but with dishes, that whilst meticulously crafted, are modern and simple. The lower ground floor is an accessible and informal bistro, offering entry-level haute cuisine in the form of a new small plates menu.

The downstairs menu is a relaxed affair; ideal for busy Londoners looking for an impromptu and casual catch up over a flute of champagne and a few light dishes. Choose from a selection of smaller versions of Morgan’s signature dishes including his raviolo of snails in Chablis, garlic froth and red wine jus and Ballotine of Foie Gras with fig caviar.
